Scholarship Application Form

The Dick Crum/Kef Scholarship was established to provide one or more participants to each of the two seven-day Balkan Music & Dance Workshops with a waiver of fees, covering tuition and room and board. The only restriction is that applicants be 18 years or older. Scholarships are awarded to new and returning workshop attendees and to previously unsuccessful applicants. We encourage dancers, singers and musicians ofall sorts to apply.

Please write a brief (500 words or less)* description explaining why you would like to receive this scholarship and how you perceive your participation at the workshop will influence your career, studies, or community. In particular, we would like you to describe the following:

1. Your interest in Balkan music, song and/or dance as well as any relevant activities
2. Why you wish to attend this workshop
3. Financial need

Please note that scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of written applications. CDs, web- sites and music samples are not reviewed during the decision process. Thank you and good luck!
