The EEFC E-mail Lists

There are two lists which you can subscribe to in order to receive information related to the EEFC: the EEFC News List and the EEFC Discussion List.

What's the difference?

The News List only sends out official information from the EEFC office or board of directors--it's not a high volume list. The Discussion List carries conversations from participants across the world related to Balkan music and dance as well as postings of related activities. You can also use a search engine to review the archived Discussion List postings.

EEFC News List

We recently created a separate e-mail list consisting solely of news and announcements from the EEFC board and office.  Unlike the EEFC Discussion List, it is not an open forum, but a relatively low volume announcements-only list to keep the community informed of EEFC activities.

To subscribe to the EEFC News List, simply send a message to:

EEFCNews-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

No body or subject line is needed.

EEFC Discussion List (listserve)

If you're interested in an on-going discussion related to Balkan music and dance, and/or postings of Balkan music and dance events, you may wish to subscribe to the EEFC Discussion List.

The Discussion List is for discussion of Balkan music and dance as well as all issues concerning the EEFC and the events it sponsors including the Balkan Music & Dance Workshops and EEFC fundraisers.  For a non-discussion, announcements-only list you may consider joining the EEFC News List.  Joining either the Discussion List or the News List will provide you with news and announcements from the EEFC office and board of directors.

Everyone is invited to contribute to the EEFC Discussion List, however you must become a list subscriber in order to post messages.  Posting information to the EEFC list about events all over the world is encouraged, we ask that the location (city, state, country) and date be prominent in the subject line so people can delete it easily if it's irrelevant to them.  Posting about items for sale is fine, but commercial entities should limit the frequency and length of postings.  Please note that at times the list has a heavy volume of daily postings.

You can get a daily digest instead of lots of individual messages by subscribing in digest form.

You can also view the discussion archive without subscribing.
